1. Who we are and what this policy covers

ImageSharpen.com (“ImageSharpen”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by an independent owner based in India. You can contact us at support@imagesharpen.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and tools, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. You do not need an account to use ImageSharpen.
How your photo is handled depends on the tool you use:

Some browser-based tools download software libraries or detection models from public content delivery networks when you first use them. Those downloads do not include your photo.
2. Information we collect
Images you upload to the AI sharpener. When you use the AI sharpener or upscaler, your image is sent to our AI processing provider so it can be enhanced, and the result is returned to your browser. You keep ownership of your images. We do not create user profiles from your images, we do not use them to train AI models, and we do not look at them unless needed to investigate abuse or a technical fault. Please do not upload images that are confidential, or that contain sensitive personal information about other people.
Images you use with browser-based tools. These tools run inside your browser. Your image is not uploaded to our servers or to any AI provider.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect:
- IP address and approximate location (country or region)
- Browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, links clicked and the page that referred you
- Basic technical data such as error and crash reports
- Cookie identifiers and similar technologies (see Section 5)
Information you send us. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
What we do not collect. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect names, payment details or government identifiers through the tools. Photos you edit locally, such as a passport photo, stay on your device.
3. How we use information, and our legal bases
We use information to:
- Provide the tools and return your enhanced image
- Keep the website secure, and detect and prevent abuse, fraud and excessive automated use
- Understand how visitors use the site and improve its performance and content
- Show advertising and measure how it performs
- Respond to messages you send us
- Meet our legal obligations
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, our legal bases under the GDPR are: performing the service you ask for (processing your image); our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site; your consent (for non-essential cookies, analytics and personalised advertising, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use your uploaded images for advertising.
4. Third parties we use
We share information only with providers who help us run the site. They process it under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business sale or reorganisation.
5. Cookies, advertising and Google AdSense
Cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working, to measure traffic, and to show advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may then stop working.
Advertising. ImageSharpen is supported by advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
Your ad choices. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. If you visit from these regions, we ask for your consent through a consent banner before setting non-essential cookies or showing personalised ads. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the website footer.
Do Not Track. Browsers send Do Not Track signals in different ways, and there is no common standard, so we do not currently respond to them. Where the law requires, we honour opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
6. Retention, security and international transfers
Retention. Images sent to the AI sharpener are held only long enough to process them, and are then deleted automatically by our processing providers, normally within about an hour. We do not keep copies. Analytics and advertising data are kept for the periods set by those providers, usually between 2 and 26 months. Messages you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted.
Security. We use HTTPS, restrict which websites can call our processing service, and keep our API keys secret. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers. Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
EEA, UK and Switzerland. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US states. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookies may count as “sharing” under these laws; you can opt out through our cookie settings link, Global Privacy Control, or Google Ads Settings. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to name someone to act for you. You may also raise a grievance with us using the contact details below.
How to use your rights. Email us at support@imagesharpen.com. We may need to confirm it is you, and we aim to reply within 30 days.
8. Children, changes and contact
Children. ImageSharpen is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
